Companies are required to complete and submit a number of forms during the 'life cycle' of obtaining and relinquishing Prospecting Licences.

A licence holder is also required to abide by our terms and conditions and to submit exploration reports and forms to maintain the licence.

An Application or Renewal is only valid if accompanied by the required payment (Application €190 per area, Renewal €2500 per area). All payments must be made by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Please direct payment to:

Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. Remittance advice quoting Customer ID and Invoice Number should be sent to AccountsReceivable@decc.gov.ie after making payment. Please also ask your bank to quote your 5 digit Customer ID when paying so we can identify your payment.
